A crane overturned in Abilene, Texas on Monday as it placed a new air conditioning unit onto a roof at the Primetime Entertainment Center in the town.
The crane was properly set up but could not handle the load at the radius it went to
It looks as if the crane became overloaded as its took the large AC unit out to too great a radius. The stricken crane, a four axle Link Belt truck crane, is owned by Crane Service Inc. Two further cranes from the company quickly arrived in site and had the stricken crane removed in just over two hours.
Two cranes, including a large All Terrain, came to the rescue
We are told that no one was injured in the incident, the second of this kind at the site, where a new building is being constructed for indoor soccer and other sports.
