Worker Injured at Northumbrian Water Outfall Site

The HSE is investigating an accident in Hartlepool in which a 59-year old worker of Southbay Civils, subcontracted to Costain, was injured during work to upgrade a Northumbrian Water outfall pipe at a site off Mainsworth Terrace. He was struck on the back by a crane boom as timber piles were being driven on to the beach.
