Authorities say a member of a surveying crew working in north Florida was apparently electrocuted when the bucket of his lift truck hit a power line.
Jacksonville police say the man was in the bucket to take pictures of an intersection Thursday evening when he raised it too high.
Rescue workers tried to revive the man. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police haven’t identified the man, but they say he worked for a traffic engineering firm called Ayres Associates.
Another worker who was inside the lift truck was not injured.
