A central Ohio man was killed in Stark County today, when he was electrocuted while working there.
Kevin R. Meyer, 26, of Grove City, was removing guardrail posts on Rt. 30, about 10 miles east of Canton, when a boom truck near him touched a live power line, causing him to be electrocuted at 2:45 p.m., according to the State Highway Patrol.
Meyer was taken by ambulance to Aultman Hospital in Canton, where he died at 3:25 p.m.
The patrol is investigating the death, along with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Meyer was employed by Lake Erie Construction of Norwalk, Ohio.
