Crane Tipping Over Caused Harrisonburg Bank Evacuation

Mobile Boom Truck Crane Tips 2010A crane tipped on its side in downtown Harrisonburg Thursday morning.

It happened around 10 a.m. in a parking lot between the Bank of America building and the bank’s drive through.

The bank was evacuated as a precaution while crews worked to get the crane righted.

Police say there were no injuries and bank workers were allowed back in the building by 11:15 a.m.
