About 4,300 residents were left without power Monday afternoon after a construction mishap in the West End.
“A crane doing some construction work inadvertently took down some overhead wires,” said B.C. Hydro representative Susan Danard.
The blackout affected a downtown area from Stanley Park to Burrard Street and Comox to Haro Street.
Danard said the interruption included a mix of residential and commercial customers. She said work crews expected to have power restored by late afternoon.
