A man is in extremely critical condition at Bellevue Hospital after being hit in the head by a crane Tuesday morning.
The incident happened around 8:00 a.m. at a pedestrian access ramp to East River Park on East 10th Street and Roosevelt Drive. According to police, a man was jogging when he was struck by a swinging hook on the crane.
The victim sustained severe head and internal injuries, and was taken to Bellevue Hospital.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
