A Philomath man was injured Saturday in an industrial logging accident according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s reports, a crew from Bruer’s Contract Cutting of Philomath was attempting to set up a crane in a logging operation, and while doing so, a cable snapped.
The crane boom collapsed and fell on Donald Hamilton, age unknown, of Philomath. Hamilton was struck on the back and complained that he had no feeling in his leg. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis, where he was treated and released.
