Crane Accidents

Father, Son Electrocuted at Work Site

10/27/01

Kingston, Ontario, Canada

Jim Clement, 56, and his son Ryan Clement, 26, were both killed shortly after 1:00 a.m. (working at night) Friday when a crane truck from Trenton Crane Service came into contact with overhead high-voltage wires, electrocuting the pair. Apparently working at night, driving with the boom up, they made contact with power lines. The son was on a flatbed truck when it happened and made the mistake of grounding himself as he got off to check things out.

Just as unfortunate, his father got out of the crane’s cab for the same reason.
