A Tower Crane, on a parking garage construction site, was unloading a 40′ bundle of rebar from a truck at the George Bush International Airport in Houston. The truck was in one lane of a three lane street. One end of the bundle was stuck in the headboard of the truck and as the crane operator was trolleying in and out and swinging side to side, the bundle came free and swung out into on-coming traffic. A Park and Fly bus caught the end of the bundle just to the left of the driver and it continued on through the bus and out the right side. Six people were injured, two were in critical condition. The 65 year old women driving the bus was in the hospital for almost a month.
