Manila
Traffic was snarled along a portion of Taft Avenue in Manila before noon Sunday following a freak accident involving a crane boom that fell off a 40-foot flatbed trailer.
No one was initially reported injured in the accident at the corner of Taft Avenue and Finance Road, according to a report by radio dzBB’s Mao dela Cruz.
Sketchy initial reports showed the chains securing the crane boom to the flatbed truck trailer loosened and the heavy equipment fell off.
The incident caused traffic to slow down along the Manila City Hall-bound portion of Taft Avenue.
City traffic aides advised motorists to take alternate routes.
